Towards the end of the 2023/24 school year, the school district undertook two separate public engagement processes. The public engagement summary documents for both consultations are available for download below:
- Pitt Meadows Secondary: Seismic Replacement.
On June 22, 2023, Station One Architects (SoA) and the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District hosted a community consultation workshop that sought to engage the community in helping define the vision for a replacement secondary school in Pitt Meadows housing a neighbourhood learning centre (NLC).
Community members who were unable to attend in person and wanted to participate in the process had an opportunity to provide feedback through our online survey, which was open from June 23 to 30, 2023.

- Eric Langton Elementary: Seismic Replacement and Expansion.
In November 2022, the Ministry of Education and Child Care announced funding for a new and expanded Eric Langton Elementary school. Construction on the new building will start in 2024 and the new school is expected to be ready for occupancy by fall 2025.
In April and June 2023, Station One Architects (SOA) and the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District hosted public input sessions (April 13, 2023, and June 14, 2023), and online surveys on building use and design, the site, and program suggestions for the neighbourhood learning centre that will be hosted at the new school.
