Meadowridge Sports Heroes Society hosts its annual Hometown Heroes Night on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Maple Ridge Secondary School. This year’s Hometown Heroes nominee is world champion mountain bike rider Cindy Devine, a Garibaldi Secondary grad.

Tickets for the event are $50 and help support the non-profit society that celebrates local athletes. Doors open at 6 pm and dinner is at 7 pm. The evening also includes a silent auction.
