Recess and lunch hour just got even better at Laity View Elementary.
Last Thursday (Jan. 31), the school held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open its brand-new accessible playground.
Laity View Parent Advisory Council (PAC), with the help from Ridge Meadows Rotary, raised $85,000 for playground.
“We are proud to have a fully accessible playground allowing students of all abilities to access a safe play area,” said principal Kristi Blakeway.
“For some of our students, this is the first time they have been able to play on a play structure with their friends. We are thankful to our parent community and Ridge Meadows Rotary for raising the funds to make this possible.”
