Tiana is an amazing leader at Alouette Elementary. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude is infectious, and she consistently puts 110% into everything she does.
Throughout her years at Alouette staff and students have counted on Tiana to help out with various jobs and responsibilities.
She creates a positive community in our school by including and helping others, and can often be heard offering kind words of encouragement to her peers. Throughout her years at Alouette she has volunteered to be on student council, monitor, and do the morning announcements. She has also been an important part of our basketball, ultimate, and track and field team.
Outside of school Tiana is an outstanding athlete who plays hockey, basketball, box and field lacrosse, and this year she has been asked to be a part of Team BC.
During the 2017/18 school year, Tiana will be attending MRSS and is looking forward to playing basketball and field hockey and making new friends. She also hopes to continue working with technology and learn how to animate her own movies.
About Leaders of Tomorrow
The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.
The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2016/17 school year – there are many others who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.
Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2017 Leaders of Tomorrow.
