Leaders of Tomorrow: Madison Dumore – Laity View

During the 2015-16 school year Madison was a Grade 7 student at Laity View Elementary.

Madison is a very caring person. She is always ready to lend a hand when needed. Maddy has been in student leadership for four years now and has had the amazing opportunity to go to WE Day three times.

She has been involved in many school initiatives to help others. Madison loves to volunteer at the Caring Place with her friends. During the 2015-16 school year she went to Ecuador to build a water project. Upon her return home she heard about the devastating earthquake in Ecuador and she knew she needed to help. At her school, she planned a fundraiser to help the victims of the earthquake. Madison is very dedicated to helping others, making her a leader of tomorrow.

About Leaders of Tomorrow

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2015/16 school year – there are many others  who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom. ?

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2016 Leaders of Tomorrow.
