2018 Leaders of Tomorrow: Ella and Emma Masters – PME

Ella and Emma are optimistic, hard working and considerate, and yet incredibly modest about their contributions to others.

They have been valuable members of the student leadership group for the past two years.  They helped raise money for a school in India, and were instrumental in collecting warm clothing and blankets for the Salvation Army.  They helped with the Friends in Need food bank, Pink Shirt Day, Jersey Day, as well as raising money for the Christmas Hamper Society.

Ella and Emma are both very athletic and participate actively in soccer and track and field and often help to sell food and clean up at sports events.  In the future, Ella and Emma would like to help out in shelters for abused women and children. They are generous, kind and always willing to help out. Our future is in good hands with these two incredible students!

About Leaders of Tomorrow

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2017/18 school year – there are many others who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2018 Leaders of Tomorrow.
