2017 Leaders of Tomorrow: Ronin Heath – Highland Park

During the 2016-17 school year, Ronin was a Grade 7 student at Highland Park Elementary in Pitt Meadows. He is a great role model in our school community serving as a classroom monitor and an active participant in the school leadership group. He sets a good example of kindness and participation in the learning environment and is always inclusive of others. Ronin gets along well with his classmates and is looked up to by peers and younger students alike.

In the greater community Ronin plays ice hockey and ball hockey, where his roles as a goalie and a forward require him to work hard and to help keep the team spirit high. He plans to volunteer with a paddle camp this summer and one day, Ronin hopes to play in the NHL as a goalie.

About Leaders of Tomorrow

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2016/17 school year – there are many others  who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2017 Leaders of Tomorrow.
