Will enjoys a challenge, whether it’s in the classroom, the gym, or in the district public speaking forum. He puts thought and effort into everything he does. Will excels in academics and he finds the time to help his peers. He is well-liked by adults and peers because of his friendly disposition and the positive energy he brings.
His maturity level allows him to do his best on the field and demonstrate good sportsmanship.
Never satisfied with the status quo, Will was a member of Student Voice and he participated in the Albion Leadership team during the 2017-18 school year. His efforts to make the world a better place included: We Scare Hunger and the most recent fundraiser surpassed its goal and provided clean water for many Africans. By giving his time to improve the school and world community, Will has shown that he is a leader of today and tomorrow.
About Leaders of Tomorrow
The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.
The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2017/18 school year – there are many others who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.
Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2018 Leaders of Tomorrow.
