Vienna Zivin is a Grade 7 student at Maple Ridge Elementary (2018/19) with many attributes of a leader of tomorrow.
She is empathetic, friendly, and always willing to help around the school. Some of her contributions this year include monitoring the kindergarten children at recess and lunch, participating in the Leadership Club (Global Awareness), on the Mural Committee, spear-heading the Decorating Committee for the Leaving Ceremony, and being our school representative for the district’s Student Voice Program.
Vienna has also played on both our volleyball and basketball teams as well as sang in the MRE choir. It is worth mentioning that Vienna is a talented artist, very creative and can “think outside the box.” Finally, Vienna is very intelligent and consistently succeeds in all subject areas. We all look forward to seeing the amazing things she accomplishes in the future!
About Leaders of Tomorrow
The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.
The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2018/19 school year – there are many others who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom. Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2019 Leaders of Tomorrow.
