“The future” is the theme of an upcoming exhibit at the ACT Art Gallery featuring the work of young artists from secondary schools across the district.
‘Window Into the Future’ shares the thoughts of 111 student artists as they stand on the threshold between high school and young adulthood.
Students were asked to choose their own subject matter, medium, creative process, and the size of their artwork, to interpret the theme.
As a result, ‘A Window into the Future’ includes a wide range of mediums, including painting, drawing, digital illustration, ceramics, and mixed media.
Participating schools include: Garibaldi Secondary School, Maple Ridge Christian School, Pitt Meadows Secondary, Samuel Robertson Technical, Thomas Haney Secondary, and Westview Secondary.
