Schools across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows have been running to raise money for cancer research.
About $30,485.60 has been raised, so far, at 18 schools across the district.
Students at Yennadon Elementary raised the most money, about $6,369.15, at their run on Friday, Sept. 27.
Principal Gary Lozinski said the entire school took part in the run – more than 700 students.
This year Lozinski noted they had BCEHS at the school with an ambulance which the primary students were able to tour and interact with the first responders.
The Ridge Meadows RCMP also took part.
