Garibaldi secondary’s music department will be holding the last showcase concert of the academic year on Monday. May Music Madness will feature three levels of the concert band, the jazz band and the choir. More than 175 students will be performing.
“It is our showcase of what they have been working on all year,” said music teacher Rebekah Bell. The choir will be performing an African song. The jazz band will be performing a mix of funk, swing and Latin and the concert band will be performing a combination of pop and program pieces. The Grade 8 group along with the choir will be performing in the Fraser Valley Kiwanis International Band Festival and the junior and senior bands will be traveling to Whitehorse….read full article
