If you’ve never danced in the rain, Ryder Moore thinks you should try it.
And the six-year-old Grade 1 student at Kanaka Creek elementary, with some help from his mom and dad, Sarah and Mike Moore, is collecting rubber boots to make sure other kids can do so.
So far his Ryder’s Rainboots campaign has raised more than $1,300, through gofundme and Facebook pages, to buy rubber boots for families in need.
The goal of the campaign is to raise $2,000 and make the donation through the Salvation Army Ridge Meadows Ministries.
Ryder developed the idea for the campaign after driving through the Downtown Eastside with his mom earlier this fall.
It was pouring rain.
