Maple Ridge school scares hunger for Halloween

Students at Albion Elementary have been working hard to help the hungry in Maple Ridge. 

More than 1,666 non-perishable food items and $300 in cash donations were raised by students for the Friends In Need Food Bank. 

Classes competed against one another to raise the most food and money with the top primary class being Amanda Cawker’s Grade 2/3 class and the top intermediate class, Stephanie Downes Grade 6/7 class, said principal Tanya Dailey.

The classes both received trophies.
