Students at Kanaka Creek elementary are handing out little bags of Christmas cheer this holiday season.
After Halloween, every student at the Maple Ridge school donated a portion of their Halloween candy.
“If you can imagine this container filled with just chocolate,” Kanaka teacher Paul Moran said in reference to 363-litre blue bin inside his Grade 6/7 classroom.
Then, he added, there is the rest of the candy, such as lollipops, jellybeans and gummy bears.
Moran doesn’t know exactly how much candy was donated, but enough to fill 700 bags.
