A parent information night entitled “Transition Planning Into the Community for Students with Diverse Abilities” will be hosted at Thomas Haney Secondary on Wednesday, February 7 at 6:30 pm.
Parents will get the opportunity to meet Megan Daly, the new navigator from Services to Adults with Developmental Disabilities (STADD) and receive a copy of the new Transition Handbook – Planning for Positive Futures created by Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District’s Learning Services.
The booklet offers a comprehensive overview and step-by-step guide to planning for successful transitions into the community, post-secondary and inclusive employment.
